The tradition of bomboniere, or favours, originated in Italy many centuries ago. Favours traditionally contain 5 sugared almonds, symbolising health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. As well as weddings, favours can also be given for other special celebrations such as christenings, anniversaries, communions etc. and are a delightful way of thanking your guests for sharing in the joy of your special day.
